Welcome to Friday Favorites! This is the first in a series of blog posts where we’ll list some our favorite places, blogs, pictures, products, styles, drinks, and more from about the south. Keep reading below to see what we’re craving this Friday.
Favorite Smell: Graybill & Downs Candles
With scents like Tobacco and Orange Blossom, Sweet Magnolia and Fig, and Dune Lily and Cucumber Sea Salt, it’s hard not to be swept away to barefoot childhood memories when you light these candles. Graybill & Downs’ scents are a sweet combination of their English and Southern heritage and they come in beautifully packaged candles, soaps, lotions, and more.
Favorite Blogger: Rebecca Combs at Spirited Cooking
I stumbled across Spirited Cooking on Instagram and fell in love with Rebecca’s lively personality and simple but delicious cooking style. She has videos on her blog that make it easy to follow along and fully embraces the drinking while cooking lifestyle, which is a huge plus in my book.
Favorite Cocktail: Basil and Bubbly’s Grapefruit Elderflower Cocktail
When it comes to cocktails, I believe simpler is always better. This breezy two-ingredient drink will impress your guests for less. Just add vodka and Grapefruit Elderflower Soda for a quick at-home happy hour.
Favorite Fashion: Draper James Lemon Orchard Love Circle Dress
Nothing says warm weather like citrus and sundresses, and this beautiful Draper James creation could not combine both more perfectly. While we’ll have to wait until summer for this dress to make its debut, Draper James has this feisty lemon pattern in a few home goods as well.
Favorite Southern Shot: @wessnerphotography
If these April showers have been getting you down, here’s a reminder of the beauty that can come with a southern storm. Michael Wessner is a Tennessee based photographer and you can see more of his southern landscape shots on his Instagram.
