When the heat turns up, we're all looking for ways to stay cool. A Southern Sisters favorite method is with an icy adult beverage. These infused vodkas are so simple, you'll be wondering why you haven't made them before! After the infusing has taken place (about 3 days) store in the freezer and pour as needed.

For these recipes, we used a 37 ounce clamp jar each, found at World Market.

Strawberry Basil Vodka:

2 cartons strawberries

Large handful of basil

1 liter of vodka

Cucumber Lemon Mint Vodka:

1 large cucumber

1 lemon

Large handful of mint leaves

1 liter of vodka

Pour. . . . #food #foodie #foodblog #foodblogger #ginnymccormack #southernsisters

The easy part! Chop up your fruit, pull herb leaves from stalks if need be, and add to jars. Don't pack the jars too tightly. Pour vodka slowly over ingredients until full. Seal tightly, and store in refrigerator. Let the fruit and herbs slowly infuse into the vodka over the next three days. Strain, pour over ice and enjoy!
